Steve enjoys a diverse practice. He has served as regional insurance coverage counsel on environmental claims throughout the Southeast. He represents clients in catastrophic fire loss litigation in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Steve also has substantial litigation experience in toxic tort, products liability, hotel crime, aquatic accidents and wrongful death. He was lead defense counsel in cases that have been reported on CBS's 60 Minutes and The Justice Files, including one that led to Consumer Product Safety Commission hearings resulting in modification of pool equipment safety standards to reduce the risk of entrapment injuries. Principally, Steve represents construction companies in personal injury and workers' compensation claims. Steve also represents burglar alarm manufacturers, and recently obtained a favorable summary judgment opinion in federal court for such a client.
